ESF Ski School Isn't Just for Beginners
Mont Blanc Ski Discovery: Premium Off-Piste Skiing
Level type: "The snow's too soft for me." This trip isn't for you. This outing, which can be a one-day or three-day trip, is for very good skiers who love deep powder and adrenaline. In a small group of 4 to 8 skiers, guided by a professional ski instructor, you'll venture off the groomed runs to learn how to read the terrain, master the slope, and revel in the perfect track. A freeride masterclass filled with 360° panoramas, expert advice, and burning thighs.
Telemark Skiing: Old School Is the New Cool
Is it as a sign of total adoration and respect for the mountains that telemark skiing is practiced with bent knees and a graceful lean forward? Well, why not? What's certain is that the discipline is technical, physical, and undeniably chic. Whether you're curious or already a convert to the mother of all snow sports, ESF instructors know how to adapt the session to introduce you to (or help you perfect) the art of the smooth turn, the free heel, and the satisfied smile. Hallelujah.
Nighttime Cross-Country Skiing: Nordic Magic
6:00 PM, the resort becomes quieter, night falls. From the Chamonix Nordic Centre, a group of cross-country skiers sets off. Their headlamps are like little fireflies illuminating the dark trails. For two hours, on a peaceful route without technical difficulty, there will be nothing but the glide of their skating steps on the snow and their breath in the cold. Poetic, isn't it? Even better: At night, Nordic skiing is magical. It takes place every Thursday during school holidays from Christmas to mid-February and it's free. Including the stars.
Handiskiing: Skiing for Everyone
In the valley, there are no spectators, only skiers! ESF Chamonix makes the joy of skiing accessible to everyone and every desire. Whether using Dualski, Uniski, sit-ski, or ski-kart, each piece of equipment is fine-tuned by state-certified instructors, specially trained to guide children and adults with disabilities towards an experience that is both safe and exhilarating. On the slopes, the sensations are at their peak: the snow crunches, the wind whips, hearts beat fast. And everyone experiences that unique thrill of freedom that the mountains offer, the kind that erases all differences.
