ConnectChamonix Photo Festival: Open Your Eyes and Join the Debate (End of October)
Pack away those dreadful selfie sticks and head — quickly, it only lasts a weekend — to the Chamonix Photo Festival. From Servoz to Vallorcine, the festival showcases work both indoors and out (don’t miss the giant prints stretched across building façades!) with a programme that grows richer every year: competitions, screenings, talks, and masterclasses — even for the kids.
In addition to dazzling us with breathtaking, 100 per cent natural imagery, this committed international event also aims to reflect the world we live in and remind us, as its president Mario Colonel puts it, “that climate change is no laughing matter.”
From Servoz to Vallorcine
3rd edition from October 31 to November 2, 2025
La Nuit de la Glisse: Adrenaline and Emotion (Early November)
A change of scene — now it’s all about pure adrenaline and extreme sport. La Nuit de la Glisse features two complementary films shown in one evening, united by a shared quest: to capture the perfect moment where freedom, beauty, and skill converge.
From the steep slopes of Mont Blanc to the monstrous waves of Teahupo’o and the frozen rapids of Norway, it’s an avalanche of thrills — all enjoyed from the comfort of your cinema seat, popcorn in hand and heart in mouth.
Event Tour from October 31 - November 13, 2025
In theatres on November 14 and 16

iF3 Chamonix France 2025: The Cannes of High Mountain Film (Early December)
Red carpet, white snow — the International Freesports Film Festival brings the glitz to Cham.
The world’s leading showcase for independent ski and snowboard films, iF3 has come a long way since its first outing in Canada back in 2007. Like a trailer for the coming winter, professionals and snowsport aficionados gather for an entire weekend of more than a hundred daring screenings — with directors, riders, and athletes in attendance.
Daytime mountain workshops are every bit as cool as the DJ sets at the opening party. And to try out the latest gear, head for the iF3 base camp at Grands Montets with The North Face and Smith. Quite simply, the perfect way to declare the winter season officially open.

A Tribute to Max Linder, Pioneer of Silent Film (5 December)
The same screens as iF3 or La Nuit de la Glisse (at the Vox), but this time a completely different atmosphere: the crackle of vintage reels and the black-and-white Chamonix of the 1910s on screen for an evening homage to Max Linder.
A single trip was all it took for Linder — among the greatest figures of silent cinema — to fall in love with the Valley. It became one of his favourite backdrops, where from 1910 onwards he filmed at least three short comedies. Gentle and witty, these early works now play like miniature documentaries on winter sports and the Chamonix spirit at the dawn of the 20th century. A true pioneer of his art.
